Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    kind of depressing to think about everyone on boards having a real persona, cannot imagine they would quite live up to the ridiculousness of their posts, or some of their username's.

    This beers thing sounds intriguing, *picturing two people getting along great until they reveal username's, opening up smartphones and quoting each others posts in ongoing escalating battle of wits ending in a fistfight*

    I've met loads through adverts.ie - I buy an awful lot of sh1te- nearly all seemed just fine, some were people whos posts I feckin hate, but IRL they were just normal, nice enough people I could get on with ok. One or two are just plain nuts.. I'm not Pottler on adverts, just too embarrasing with the crap I spout on here. I don't even like my kids reading my posts over my shoulder- they'd mock me to death as a big durty hypocritical messer. I am really a capitalist pig, but I try to hide it.

    There have been threads where posters uploaded their photos, but after a while the Boards servers began to melt so the threads were stopped.

    I'd say I've met maybe 40ish Boardies at various beers. I've gotten to know some others very well through private forums.

    I'd consider maybe 10-15 of these to be pretty close friends of mine, now.

    I also met my awesometastic boyfriend through Boards! :)
