Perhaps you should have researched the course before you applied for it?

    This: http://www.gmit.ie/science/level-7-programmes/fresh-marine-bio.html
is the link for the course on the GMIT website..

    You can do the rest.

First year science regardless of whether you're doing marine, bio, undenominated etc... are all together in first year and you only have four modules - chemistry, biology, physics and... maths. I'm not a science student, so I actually don't know if it's hard or not, sorry!

Try emailing the lecturer listed (i'd do it asap before they finish up) martin.gammell@gmit.ie

Hey Kevin. I did that course and it's brilliant. There will be a good bit of Maths over the four years between straight Maths, chemistry, physics, statistics etc so just make sure you keep on top of it. Maths in 1st year is all open book exams so as long as you practice the sample papers and have notes organised to guide you through the exams you'll be grand.

Fingers crossed you get it :)
