Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Seen a quote today for the Juve chief (could be wrong) that Bendtner wasn't the top class signing they wanted, but they had to strengthen their attack.

Good news for Bendtner. We didn't really want him in the first place. Ha.

Of course he wasn't any where near the top of Marotta's list. He was somewhere after Cavani, van Persie, Jovetic, Dzeko, Llorente, Drogba, Suarez, Berbatov, Pazzini, Destro and probably others I've forgotten.

    Incredibly overrated and very average.

He would have been a prefect replacement for Bosingwa so. :o

Looking forward to see how Azpilicueta gets on in his fuirst season, looks to be a good prospect.

How long can Stoke keep spending money without making anything back?

I'd be asking QPR the same, they've some expensive, older players coming in on potentially big wages.

Stoke is always one that I forget about when looking at transfers but in recent memory they have spent a decent wedge without seeing too much return.

Eurosport claiming van der Weil has agreed to join PSG in a deal worth €6.25m. Very meh signing.

Thats one I'm glad we didnt sign in the end as we were linked with him for awhile.

Nothing in the Dutch press about that.
Ajax really want to sell him but VD Wiel is not just going anywhere as his contract runs out at the end of this season.

VD Wiel had a decent WC2010 but only because he had Kuyt running his socks off for him.

City to announce 5 deals today apparently.

I think Pulis spends money on players and then realizes he doesn't know what to do with them. The time Tuncay spent there was such a waste.

    Maicon
    Sinclair
    Nastasic

    Who else likely?

Why does everyone leave their buying till last minute anyway? Theres been three monthd to do business and it only leads to knee jerk panic buys like Carroll. Madness.

Surprised QPR aren't top of the bill on SSN transfer special. Lots of hot air from clubs but QPR are signing and will probably nab a few more.

Transfer deadline day is like Christmas morning for unemployed scousers.

£30 million for Moutinho (release clause that is). Wonder if Spurs going paying that!

Why does everyone leave their buying till last minute anyway? Theres been three monthd to do business and it only leads to knee jerk panic buys like Carroll. Madness.

Funny enough the Dutch squad was announced today and Van Gaal left out VD Vaart, De Jong and Affelay because "they hadnt played enough recently and are too busy getting away from their club."

Transfers while most leagues are already a bit on the way is ridiculous.
have a window of june 1st till july 15th and that is it. Also no winter transfer window.

According to the Guardian, De Jong will be on €150k a week at Milan.

The five City signings mentioned earlier are meant to be Wright, Sinclair, Maicon, Javi García and Nastasic. Underwhelming?

No winter transfer window would be a bit unfair on the many countries worldwide who run on a March to November league cycle.

Very. They will regret not pushing on having won the league last year.
