Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was queuing in a shop yesterday and there was a girl late teens dressed provocatively in a mini skirt fishnets etc. two ahead of me in the queue. There was a creepy looking old guy directly behind her and I noticed he was taking photos on his phone of the girl. I didn't do or say anything. Do you think the girl should know that someone is taking photos or is it grand?

I was just about to post the photos up and complain about the scanty outfits kids are wearing these days...
    Sigh.

Probably taking the opportunity to have myself a danger ****.

  • Registered Users Posts: 653 ✭✭✭girl in the striped socks

You could have walked in front of her & dropped a €50 so she would bend over.

Old people need a bit of help too you know.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 654 ✭✭✭girl2

It's probably too late now. If you know the girl and decide to tell her now, she may be freaked out by the whole thing. Especially if you don't know who the creepy old guy is. I wouldnt too much like for some creepy dude to have my pics on his fone without my knowing it.

If you were gonna do anything, you should have done it there and then.

Maybe he was on some other website telling his fellow posters about her and they demanded "pics or GTFO!!"

  • Registered Users Posts: 241 ✭✭Paddycrumlinman

You should have made a show of him by calling him out on what he was doing and then take out ur phone sit back and watch it unfold. Now that's fair game.

He's probably going to open one of those 'are these laces too sexy for my sister?' threads.
Actually if it was that guy you should have kicked his arse

That's just scummy, Why doesn't he watch some porn or so, At least with porn the girls are aware they are been pictured/videoed. That guy needs a punch in the face.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 709 ✭✭✭Robdude

It might be considered slightly rude - but there is really no expectation that people won't take your picture when you go somewhere in public. Particularly in a way that attracts attention.

He probably had a good watch when he got home, and his right hand must have been a blur.

And that's why they should look at TV3's Paul Connolly investigates brazzers. It tells them all they need to know.

While the behaviour was odd It's legal to photograph in public.

Maybe it's legal but it's still creepy as fuck. You should have called him on it OP, it's the right thing to do and it could potentiall have been loltastic.

I was on a CIE bus once coming home from college. I was sitting on the back seats and the guy nearest to me was filming over the seat in front where a girl was lying down sleeping. After a while he began taking pictures and the phone made a camera click sound each time, real creepy sh1t.

Everyone sitting in the vicinity could see what he was doing but nobody said anything of course. I really probably should of.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,715 ✭✭✭DB21

That's ****ing disturbing, quite frankly. Should've called him out on it, OP.

I know its totally off topic, but I feel obliged to point out that you ended that last sentence in a preposition.

That's horrible! Old men are such perverts these days. You don't see young girls going around taking pictures of old men! I bet they wouldn't like it if it was happening to them:(

I would have ratted the dirty bastard out and then she would think of me as her knight in shining armour. Then I would bring her outside the shop and bust her back doors in.

There may be a completely innocent explanation for it. For all you know he could be a lice inspector.

I don't think he qualifies as a grammar Nazi. He didn't even point out that it should have been "have" instead of "of".

Yes it should be, I concede the error. No need the for the rolled eyes treatment though.

Did you try taking a picture of his face up real close shouting about it real loudly so everyone else in the store could hear, call the rozzers where they can check if he is on the Sex Offenders Register, and bring a conviction?

Also swift and brutal castration on the spot would work also. I find things like that make my blood boil to the point where I could do it with my bare hands no blade require

You should have checked if he had blue tooth and got a copy off him .

You should have said to him :

"Excuse me Sir, Either share those pics or GTFO"
