    that's because he wants Llorente

    Man I would love this.

He might be just out of our league but not by much. Definitely worth a shot.

If Defoe just signed a new deal there's no Llorente. It shows that either AVB is happy with who we have or if the Llorente thing is true that Defoe is happy to play third fiddle, which I can't imagine being true.

    You might be right.

We should have 3 senior forwards though. Most clubs have 4.

I'm actually envious of West Brom's forwards these days: Rosenberg, Fortune, Long, Odemwingie and Lukaku.

FFS, its true. i thought you where pulling our legs!

    I dont understand it.

Unless its Levy tying him to a longer contact so he can be sold at a better price in Jan/next summer.

... But what DL will get extra in a transfer fee (1-2 m) he'll probably end up paying Defoe in wages over the next 12 months so that doesnt make since.
    AVB must rate him.

I think the Llorente thing is a red herring. I can't see us spending so long chasing Adebayor only to go out and replace him with Llorente a week later. Llorente and Adebayor won't be playing up front together. DL and AVB know Chelsea/Newcastle/Citeh are sniffing around Remy. So we throw a story to the media dogs in order to put the other teams off the scent.

Moral of the story. We'll get Remy. :)

    25 Adebayor, 18 Defoe, 11 Bale, 10 Vdv, 19 Dembele, 22 Sigurdsson, 7 Lennon

Come on Daniel, who's it gonna be?

Just had a mental image of you strumming a guiter and singing...

Daniel my brother you are older than me
Do you still feel the pain of the scars that won't heal
Your eyes have died, but you see more than I
Daniel you're a star in the face of the sky
Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye
God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes
Oh God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes

    :D

Not looking good at the moment

    http://www.olweb.fr/fr/Accueil/100007/Article/60200/Communique
Olympique Lyonnais informs not have reached an agreement with Tottenham for the transfer of Hugo Lloris.

Proposals submitted by Tottenham tonight are significantly distant from the principle which was officially recorded on August 26 and had opened up discussions between the player and the London club.

Sure why would Lyon sell him at this stage? They won't be able to get a replacement in before deadline day. This should have been done weeks ago.

What is it with Spurs and waiting till the last minute? I'd thought it wasn't going to happen this year with Siggy and Vert being sorted early on in the window, but once again we are left with big gaps and a lot of questions.

Brinksmanship? If Lloris has agreed to leave maybe Lyon are trying to draw in other bids?

If Levy has amended his bid that's very underhanded/stupid...

Yeah, sounds like he agreed a price a few days ago and now submitted an official bid of much less !

That's the worry. If he has changed the terms, Lyon would be rightly pee'd off and may not want to deal with Spurs any more. Who could blame them too!!

Will be disgusted if the keeper doesn't sign..

We should probably reserve judgement until tomorrow evening....:cool:

I'm delighted with Dembele but i'm concerned if we don't get in a second main striker. Defoe's a great finisher but the way we're playing i think we need someone up front who can link up play and score goals. If Ade gets injured who have we got for that crucial role?

Completely agree, this should still be the main priority. Doesn't sound like it is though.

Thoughts on Danny Rose please lads? Lots of reports he's going to join on loan when Richardson completes his move to Fulham.

Going to Sunderland as a left winger I think according to MON, which is odd as he has played his best football for spurs at left full. Never really impressed when playing outside left, despite his pace and aggression. Lacks a little bit to make it at the top level i think. In saying that, I hope he does well wherever he goes, a consistent run of games could be the making of him.

Still a legend all the same :D
