    Duncan Castles ‏@DuncanCastles
Tottenham agree a fee with Lyon of €10m plus €5m in variables for Hugo Lloris. The France goalkeeper is in London taking a medical. #THFC

Not sure if this is true, but we can hope.

Am I right in thinking that as it stands, we have only two strikers in our squad? Defoe and Adebayor? :(

Yep, only one senior striker who is capable of playing up front on his own.

And no major rumours of us getting another one in the next few hours.

This is worrying, if Ade picks up an injury we will be struggling.

Moutinho deal has hit problems over personal terms.

    Bollox!

A general rule of business, especially big business, is that the negotiation stage continues right up to the signing of a contract. A party is completely entitled to change their mind on any aspect of an agreement before it's signed.

If you draft a contract based on a negotiated agreement it is underhanded to alter the terms/conditions/clauses of the deal. You are completely entitled to do so but you wouldn't be long losing business.

what realistically are the chances we get moutinho and lloris?

    Maicon to city confirmed.

I bet Bale cant wait to play city! :D

First post. Exciting day so far, if we can get a striker in to follow Lloris & Moutinho it'd be the icing on the cake. Berba would've done nicely :o

Cannot wait for the "Taxi for Maicon" chant when we play city at WHL

Hopefully. I'd not even considered the personal terms for some reason, which is surprising considering that is somewhere we've never been too generous with.

I completely agree that would be underhanded. That's not what the Lyon chairman suggested happened. He suggested that he had an agreement in writing and Levy reneged on it.

We are worrying short of options up front. Here's my theory: :pac:

If we don't get anybody today we could go after Dzagoev; afaik the Russian window stays open for another week!

Good news, Berbatov has signed for Fulham

Don't think that deadline affects us in being able to buy from Russia, only if we were selling to Russia. Once the window shuts tonight we cannot buy from anywhere as far as I Know.

What time does Loic arrive in London?

it's fierce quiet on the striker front too.llorente rumours gone quiet last hour.is there anyone that hasn't been mentioned yet that we could get.sturridge?

He's already at the lodge for his medical. Our goalkeeping coach also saying that Lloris is far from a done deal however.

We won't get Llorente. I'd say once Moutinho and Lloris are done, we'll either do no more business, or get a youngster.

As in Loic Remy. You're mixing him up with Lloris, no? I expect that it was a bit of tongue-in-cheek from Leinsterspur.

I am so worried about the fact that we only have two strikers. Neither Defoe or Adebayor can be considered world class by any stretch of the imagination. Surely we have to have another up our sleeve? Haveing all these great midfielders is one thing but when you do not have a good finisher it comes to nothing. Adebayor goes missing in games and Defoe is incapable of looking for a ball never mind passing one

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 23,162 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kiith

I'm just worried about the fact that we haven't actually signed anyone today. I know it's looking good, but until it's official i'll stay worried.
