Lloris deal done according to SSN....and Dempsey at the lodge.....

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

Direct replacement for Rafa, 17 goals in 37 games last season.

That's a reasonable record. He's decent in the air I think and can hold it up well so should deputise well if Ade's out/tired/injured.

Dempsey deal feels a bit like a panic buy. Wouldnt have thought he fits the AVB mould.

True, it feels like Moutinho won't happen now...

I agree. I think Siggy is better. Same position.

Dempsey can fill in up front too mind, which is useful. Probably better up front on his own that Defoe, which wouldn't be hard.

Nothing yet. Strange that we would sign Dempsey instead as they're completely different players. Fingers crossed we get them both!

It's said that since about 7pm though. Hopefully it will happen, but i doubt it at this stage.

Yeah that's dead since yesterday apparently. We have no room for him anyway.

At least we're pretty well catered for up front now. He can put the ball in the net in fairness and is a good physical player, so we should be happy!

"In the last few minutes, Resanenca has claimed that Joao Moutinho will stay at Porto. Tottenham's offer is still below Porto's valuation, it says, and the midfielder is still not happy with the personal terms on offer. That said, there's still 76 minutes to deadline while writing this, so still there's time for it to be on - and off - again...."

Didn't Porto accept a £22 million bid? From what i've heard its all down to personal terms.

Dempsey's signed on a 3 year deal though.
