Off to join Harry at QPR apparently.. he gets around does three metre Peter!

Berba can't move clubs in this window as he already has 2 clubs this season.

We could wind up with Keane for a few weeks.. he was training with us a few weeks ago too.

Then again, maybe Andy Booth or Gregorz Rasiak are at a loose end!

    Scruffy AVB!

Also Holtby's number will be 23 Carlo Cudicini's old number...

Victor has us at 1/8 to nab Leandro. This may or may not have relevance. Everyone get to bed early the next two nights... DL has his alarm clock set for 19.00 GMT Thursday!

I wouldn't read into that too much, sneijder was similar odds a while back and I doubt there was ever any chance he was going to sign considering the wages he was on. We can all hope though

Note that there is no option for 'Internacional'. So the 1/8 is based on Damiao signing for us, rather than someone else. As we're the only team linked to him, we will be clear favourites.

If there was an option for him staying put, I'd think that option would be favourite at something like 1/2 and we'd be at 11/8.

I've decided that if we don't sign a striker at the end of this transfer window, I'm no longer following football and instead I'll start following cricket, I just can't cope with more heartbreak this season when our lack of strikers will cost us top 4...

Rumour has it that kane is being recalled -- that will be the extent of our striker hunt

Yeh if this happens then definitely won't be a striker coming in.. It'll be interesting to see how he does!

I read on twitter that his re-call clause ended on the 25th of Jan, so we can not recall him now. Not sure how true that is though.

I think the kane thing started as a joke on 365.

He cant even get a game Norwich if he was coming back it would be to go back out on loan.

Defoe is in the squad for the Norwich game tonight. If he is fit and Ade is back in a week or two I cannot see Levy buying a new striker after getting Holtby early.

Shhh, he's brilliant, sad to see him go
wait till the deal is done FFS
    :D

Yeh, always liked Thud but at this stage I'd pack his bags for him. If the value is 5 million then I agree with Mickman; 4mill must be based on what he did pre-injury.

He will never get into our team barring injury crisis or him returning to form. He will never return to form unless he gets a huge preseason and plays a ****load of games. Not going to happen here I wouldn't think. Best just to let him go for what we can get.

I will miss that glorious hair, though.

"European football expert James Horncastle tells BBC Sport: "Inter seem keen on some wheel-and-dealing and there's a rumour in Gazzetta about a mooted exchange with Tottenham which would see former Porto [and Andre Villas-Boas disciple] Alvaro Pereira go to White Hart Lane with Benoit Assou-Ekotto heading to San Siro"

    Just on the BBC ticker.

I hope it doesn't happen. Benny is one of the best LBs in the Prem and I think the lad's a legend.
