Brilliant pics, did you have to time the tides to get out there & back?

What was the current like out there off coliemore? could you paddle against it???

In few places it was bit harder to paddle but nothing serious

the Murrough lake north from wicklow town-the lake is tidal-be a bit careful about that! Access fro the harbour ?-The tide can run too low for about an hr under the old arched roadbridge that's at the harbour/Bridge tavern ... i haven't been able to get a sit-on-top all the way under that bridge in the past...the current can be very fast against you...sit-on-tops aren't a bit easy to carry across roads and to drag for a hundred metres to the next access point! This is at the footbridge north of the Leitrim pub/arched roadbridge.
people in boats often spend a few hrs travelling with the tides up n down the Murrough...nuthin like it in the evenings-bird calls, scenic, a beaut. i don't know its local tide range/times.
Lough Dan- in the past i've popped in via the scouts den when they're not using the space-amazing space.
