Opinions on this dress

Hi guys. I have a christening coming up in a couple of weeks and was thinking of getting this dress. Just looking for opinions on it? I'm 30...not sure if it's for my age group or not....also not totally gone on it but I'm quite tall and it's hard to get a dress which isn't too short for a church thing!

I think that second dress from topshop is really nice. It's classy and stylish. And it might suit you better if you are lucky enough to be tall.

You can get that second dress on the in Newlook for just over half the price of buying it in topshop.

I think it's very old fashioned. Over the knee is ok once it's not too short. A blazer might be a good idea.

TBH I with the others in that Im not gone on that dress (sorry) what about something like this

its relatively long, classy and age appropriate (and not outrageously expensive either)

I know personally I would always have thought M&S clothes were kinda "older" but you can actually find some real gems in there if you look!

The material is pretty cheap and it does not seem to have any structured stitching around the waist, so there is a chance it will look quite a bit worse than on the photo.

These two are about the same price but I would also check Monsoon for a bit longer dresses. As a general rule, the cheaper the brand, the shorter the dress.

oh god no. that is hideous! Age appropriate? I am 32 and wouldnt be seen dead in it!

Agree with this, Marks have some really beautiful dresses that are well tailored/fitted. It's not all fuddy duddy cardigans.

Just a word of advice, I have this Topshop dress and whilst its lovely I stand at 5'7 and it would probably be too short for a christening without tights..
