Copying memory to dvd problem.. help?

Hello, I am having difficulty with copying items from my dvd recorder's hard drive to disc. I copied a load of VHS to the memory and it plays fine on the memory but when I copy it to a disc it has lots of edits and jumps along throughout the shows. Hello,

I am having difficulty with copying items from my dvd recorder's hard drive to disc. I copied a load of VHS to the memory and it plays fine on the memory but when I copy it to a disc it has lots of edits and jumps along throughout the shows. The videos were not copyright protected and my DVD recorder always warns me if anything is protected refusing at all for it to even try and copy. Has anybody any idea what the problem might be? I spent weeks copying VHS and it now it seems its unwatchable except on the memory but thats now running out of space and I need to save stuff to discs. I appreciate any help!
