Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

United dont play a 442, havent for a long time in all honesty, Kagawa will fit in no problem to the formation. Whether he takes to the league etc is up in the air, I suspect he will of course.

There has been talk of the Kagawa deal for a long time now, so I don't think it can be said with certainty that Hazard was the number 1 choice, Fergie did go to Germany to watch Kagawa and had him scouted plenty of times.

I think both teams have made excellent signings, I think there are reasons Hazard has ended up at Chelsea (I don't think it was his first choice) and I don't think he will pose selection problems for his manager any more then I expect Kagawa to cause selection problems, he is comfortable through the middle or out wide left, I am willing to bet he could play wide right no problem either as he is right footed by birth but ambidextrous by determination and practise :)

Hazard turned me off him big style a while ago due to his antics in the media, Kagawa has never come across anything but humble and down to earth (though he has been in a relationship with a Japanese porn star :)) and it actually seems like he really wanted to play for the club, it appears that he supported United in his younger days so obviously it is great to have players like that at the club.

It'll be interesting to see how they both adapt to the Premier League. Kagawa is 2 years older and has already had to make the huge transition from the Japanese league to the Bundesliga. Hazard's entire professional career has been in Ligue 1 so I imagine he will take longer to adjust. I imagine Hazard will prove to be the better player in the long run though.

French league players tend to adapt pretty well to the Premier League in fairness to him, so as long as he has the managers (who is the manager actually?) faith I dont think he will have much of a problem. I do suspect he is not going to reach the heights many expect for him, but its just a hunch, he could well turn himself into one of the elite players in the world. Kag transferred seamlessly to the Bundesliga, hit the ground running in his first season and hopefully he will do the same for us.

Cant wait to see him in a United jersey, could be another Ronaldo on our hands with a little luck ;)

I guarantee you if the roles were reversed it would be the other way around. We will see at the end of the season I suppose but Hazard >>>>Kagawa IMO.

Out of interest, what is this based on exactly?

Just asking, because seemingly near everyone has been watching Hazard and Kagawa for years all of a sudden and has a well informed opinion of one if not both which I find a tad strange/amusing. Not pointing fingers at anyone here specifically. Just an observation is all.

Homer where u getting hazard is a better player than kagawa? Do you follow Dortmund and Lille? You seem to know a lot about the two players, elaborate on how hazard is a better player please??

This is what happens when people listen to media hype that a player creates about himself lads, pathetic really that we can still be swayed by media like this.

The only way any of us know either player is YouTube and the kagawa vids are honestly better IMO but both players defo are class two very good signings watch out city ;)

What United fans said Kagawa is 'miles' better, or suggested that he's far better than Hazard lads?

I've only seen people say that he's currently ''better'' as he has similar statistics (some would say better considering Hazard scored 8 penalties last season and Kagawa 0) to him in a far superior league and was more productive than the likes of Ribery and Robben last season in the Bundesliga. Hardly an unreasonable suggestion that Kagawa (23) maybe slightly ahead of Hazard (21) development/ability wise just now, is it?

Anyway they are both fantastic players and I'm looking forward to seeing them in the PL next season.

nah was just a vibe I got from a few on here and reading some posts on redcafe

I agree though both great signings for the PL to make it more exciting

can't see why people are comparing the two players when nearly everyone here hasn't seen either player on a consistent basis.

form a judgement at the end of may 2013

I was hoping to sign kagawa and hazard tbh. Glad Eden is signing for Chelsea rbh after the dramatic behaviour re his transfer.. I just hope for his sake he becomes the self confessed legend he makes himself out to be. People say he is having a laugh I don't believe it he appears to be a drama queen

I don't get that at all. Yes, he went on about his transfer but he is an absolute hero in France and generates a huge amount of publicity. His way of dealing with it was by interacting with the media and creating a bit of humour. On the pitch he has been 100% professional for his club and has just had his best season for them. He didn't let the hype affect his game at all.

Drama queen ? He's hardly in the Tevez or Ballotelli league is he ?

The >>>>> was , I thought, fair obviously going OTT to make a point. I will as it happens watch pretty much any football that is on Have seen both players in glimpse's this past while, seen much more of Hazard though, and it seems from what I have seen he seems the better player, thus the IMO at the end of my post. I could base my opinion on watch 10 seconds of them playing if I wanted to, I haven't but I could have. What I said was in reply to someone saying they though Hazard was the lesser of the 2 players, I was stating an opinion based on what I'd seen of them. Never stated I had watched them for years on end BTW.
