Single Farm Payment Scheme

I just wanted to check if anyone with a small holding, and small number of stock, had registered for the Single Farm Payment scheme.

We're thinking of going for the grassland/disadvantaged areas part of it, but we'll have few enough animals by the final date for stocking (application date is May 15, but you can stock up to the end of May). The granting doesn't seem to be extensive, but an SPS application does seem to be necessary for granting schemes, or an application for farm aid, the farmers social welfare, or any of the interesting rural CES ( the grren power generation Community Emloyment stuff looks interesting)

If anyone has a smallholders prspective on it, or any tips for the person with low stoick levels, and small holding, I'd be grateful.
