Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The strangest noise....

This may seem a bit odd, but I moved into a new house recently and was baffled by a strange ringing noise. I couldn't figure out what it was for ages and then realised it was the landline ringing.
It dawned on me that outside of work I haven't used a landline at home in almost 10 years. Is it just me or is the landline dead and buried and has it just taken me 10 years to realise this?

I have a landline app on my android, it's deadly.

Maybe it's just me - but when i hear a phone ringing, the first thing i think of is that there's a phone ringing, not what's that strange sound that sounds like a phone ringing.

But yes, land lines are at least on their death bed, if not quite dead yet.

How did you not cop on that it was a phone, OP?

It was some new fangled old phone with skype built in and all sorts, so the ring tone was totally random. Sounded more like a kids toy.
Think this puts me the right side of some generation gap or other
