    Hey guys,
I've set up a blog network. Myself and a few friends are posting on it at the mo but it is open to anyone who wants to add their blog posts or write new ones.

The site is blogify.org and the whole idea is that if you already have a blog, you can repost your writings and it will include a link to the original blog for anyone interested. Most of us have our own separate blogs but use this to bring them all together.

Anyway we are mostly based in Galway, so I thought it would be nice to get a few more Galway heads involved.

Let me know what you think!

well if you can get your photos working, you are more than welcome. In fact, I would actively encourage you to participate. The html <img> tag works in posts but if needs be I can write an image insertion script to resize images correctly.

His photos look perfectly fine to me (Win XP, Chrome on a netbook).

Mine is Galway Public Transport News - http://galwaypublictransportnews.blogspot.com/

But I'm sorry, I don't get the whole blogger's network thing: If I put my content over there to, sure I get a backlink, but won't Google penalize me 'cos it's duplicate content?

    Mine is http://www.thecityfathers.com

But like JustMary, not sure about the concept though. I think most sites like that only have a quotes or previews of blog postings with the link for more pointing to the bloggers full page....

Hey guys, Thanks for taking the time to check it out. I understand exactly what you are saying about google penalizing you. My answer would be to simply put up just a description and I will implement an external post tag.

My opinion would be that most blogs, especially new blogs don't rank well on google anyway and don't even think about google rankings especially if they cover a broad range of topics. However you are correct in saying that it doesn't suit those that do think about it so I will get the external post tag working today for you.

The idea I am working towards right now involves getting an app set up for smart phones to read blogs from blogify, and then to have a printed issue each month consisting of the best blogs on the site. The idea being to access those readers who wouldnt necessarily read anything online.

[edit: JustMary, I had fixed his issue by that time ;) ]

[edit again: The ability to link to your blog posts is now up and running]
