"Were the people swimming locked too?"

People always get to tell their story twice on LL.

Side note - the RTE stream is only working in one headphone for me, both on the work PC and my phone - I take it it's not just me?

Is this another caller who doesn't bother ringing the gardai but waits for months to pass before calling a radio show ?

Edit. Nope, but he did call a gardai a bean-garda, old skool.

More like Airsoft (shoots little yellow plastic pellets).

I agree with the caller - brandishing something like that should be treated in law as if it were a real gun.

Maybe it was a real gun. Regardless sounds like a terrifying situation for the caller.

Some of the callers this week have been really difficult to understand.

Damien" lesser charge ofjust possessing a gun" does Damien constantly miss the point? After the guy on the barge said his pregnant gf was nearly pulled of the boat he said it could have been far worse had the attacker fallen in under propeller !

I'm not disagreeing with that at all, I couldn't tell one from the other (and would sh1t a brick if it was put up to my head, knowing no different). As I said above, using one of these in that threatening / intimidatory fashion should be treated as if it were a real gun.
