If Michael O'Leary came on to defend Ryanair charging for toilet use Damo would somehow make it boring, and cut him off early so we can listen to Maura from Tullamore talk about her sore toe.

...that she stubbed going into said toilet !

"and he charged you for that maura, janey mack !"

Do the whiner realise that their 'entitlements' exceed teachers wages in Spain or Italy

(countries that have not been bailed out by the IMF)

Sounds like a normal job description for an Au Pair.

"She was working all day and all of the night."

But her boss was decent enough to stick on a bit of The Kinks while she was working.

Damo's sounding particularly monotonous today, oh wait, that's static. Damn RTE transmitter maintenance!

I may activate RTE Online and be 30" behind everyone else.

[EDIT] And just as I do so, the radio bursts back into life.

Is Clem the au pair union rep?

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,988 ✭✭✭constitutionus

"do ya have any other cases ?"

"oh yeah i knew this girl worked for some lad called Gerry, coke all over the gaff, fecking disgrace damo !"

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,141 ✭✭✭Yakuza

It's very similar behaviour to those who brought Filipina women over here and had them basically work like slaves. Money doesn't buy class, or humanity. Au Pairs are slightly above the slavery line, in that they're not under threat of being deported.

  • Registered Users Posts: 43,028 ✭✭✭✭SEPT 23 1989

How much are these "Au Pairs"?

Just like thousands of Irish people here being exploited by their employers.
