What really annoys me about this is that it's portrayed as if no individual people are to blame, bar the usual "kick the minister" sh1te that goes on .... The REAL problem is with the permanent Government, the civil service and the unions...

If you take for example those unnecessary HSE staff I mentioned earlier, or all the old health board staff.... The unions said they would down tools and not support the HSE unless all those staff were kept on, that these people are entitled to keep their jobs and shouldnt be just kicked to the kerb in a modern society.. But if effectively means that they have to pay these people to do nothing, instead of getting say 1200 extra nurses.

Individual people in the HSE and in the public sector unions are to blame for many deaths in the health service, and it really is about time they were called on it.... They have colluded in putting a person keeping their job ahead of a person keeping their life.

If my mother died as a result of one shambolic mistake after another, I'd be suing too. What a litany of errors to have befallen the poor woman. i bet not one person concerned was sanctioned either. Just dip into the taxpayers bottomless pockets and move on...

Well obviously you dont mention it to the researchers or they wont let you on the line.

You mention she was salt of the earth, if she is not from dublin - create a dublin connection, e.g. she went to ballyfermot every year on her holliers(well done well done), mention the HSE, mention the Mater, mention incompetence, mention inquiries. But dont mention the settlement til you get on air.

And John and Edward, 20, would love to make it an annual appearance.
Edward gushed: “Me and John would do it every year if we were able to.

“It’s great to do it again as everyone was so proud and excited. Everyone was asking us to do it.

“Going through Eurosong was good, because it kind of proved that everyone did want us to do it again.”

Do you mean the HSE or the guy who sued?

+1 for a return of the matrons.

If the Army had gotten rid of Company Sergeants at the same time the HSE got rid of Matrons, they would have been decimated over in Chad.

What is wrong with Joes inability to pronounce words? Over the course of a couple of words, "porty-un-koola", became "port-junkla"

Well wasn't that just fascinating. Not.

Just realised that such was the scale of personal tale-telling, Derek never got his promo in.

My point was there seems to be no accountability - "arragh sure if we make a mistake and get sued, the taxpayer will bail us out".
