Only heard of this guy a few weeks back. I've been listening to his first two albums and they they are unbelievable. Best stuff I've listened to in a long time. Any one else listening to him? Also a mix-tape by Lloyd banks called the cold corner 2 which he released for free. Another great album in my opinion. Could have released it as an actual album

Not a fan of maino, tried giving his stuff a chance when the hi haters song blew up a few years ago but I just didn't like him.

He's been around a while very close to Lil Kim I Belive and is big enough on the NY hip hop scene too in fairness to him.

Cold corner 2 is a great mixtape as are most of banks mixtapes. He is one of the most consistant mixtape artists out, constant quality tapes for over a decade now if you include the g unit ones before they signed to shady/aftermath. He's the only actual rapper out of that whole g unit click past and present that you could comfortable call an mc, hed rap circles around them all.

His latest mixtape V6 was pushed back due to him touring Europe so I say it will be next month by the time we get it.

Yeah the "Hi Hater" track was the only one I didnt really like on that maino album. That million bucks track isnt great either.

But listen to tracks like 'Runaway slave' or 'back to life', "Unstoppable" or "Celebrate".

All his rap is about his drive determination and hunger for success, for a guy who spent like 10 years in prison or whatever, he's not a bit negative about anything. Full of positivity which is something I really admire.

I'm on the phone now so il give a few of them a listen later on but I gave a lot of his stuff a listen a few years ago just can't remember it which isn't a great sign tbh but il def give those tracks you mentioned a listen because I'm a pretty big fan of the modern day NY hip hop scene.

He gets fairly heavy promotion on thisis50 ,thats about all i hear of him these days, he had a new song up their a few weeks ago too.

Ye what did he get locked up for again?
