    How do you know what Motherboard goes with what CPU ???? :o

    It works by socket type eg socket 775, 939, AM2, AM3
    You can buy bundle kits if you're in the market for both.

    It will have a socket number, the usual one is 1155.

    cheers lads i more want to learn at the moment as i hope to be doing a build in the next few months .
    pc was meant to be purely a gaming pc but the Mrs will want to be doing some 3d rendering for work
    what do ye reckon / recommend ??

    recommend to come back in a few months :P

    seriously though, newer stuff will be out then, so there really is no point in suggesting stuff unless you're ordering within a week or 2.
