Build or Buy

Just wondering if I should buy this PC or would I build a similar one cheaper or better one for same price. It's for my parents so a basic as it comes (for surfing) will do but not waiting around 15 mins to boot. I upgraded ubuntu to 11.10 on their old PC and it has slowed it down to a crawl.

If I build one I would save on the HDD alright as their is a 250GB in it already.

Any advice welcome, thanks

- G620, its perfect for just internet browsing, its out of stock at the moment, so if its not in stock when you want to buy it you should just go with the i3 2120.
-MATX Motherboard, smaller, a few less features but your parents won't need them.
- Simple quiet 350W PSU.
- Simple small case, I assume your parents don't want the whole flashing LEDS and windows on the case :P
- DVD Drive.
- 8GB Ram, this is probably overkill, you can drop to 4GB if you want, but its only gonna save you 10euro so for the sake of 10euro I'd just stick with the 8Gb.

Yeah, I'd go with the build above if it's just for browsing. 8GB is way over kill but, it's so cheap:D

Thanks guys Yeah 8GB, my XPS15 has 4GB and it's doing me fine at the moment. Cheap as chips though

I updated some info above. There's a DVD-RW on it so I'll be able to use that and a 250GB SATA HDD which is plenty for them. I should also be able to build myself.

Just a quick one about the case, would this one do also?
Might be a silly question, but how do you know what size/type case will do?

Yeah, that will do. The Fractal is a good case though. mAtx (the MB size) is how you know.

That case is fine too.
It will say the likes of ATX, mATX, etc.
