Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I saw a thread on this over on Politics.ie and thought it was worth a mention here.. it refers to the negotiations the government have told us are going on between themselves and the ECB
The Government has never submitted any documentation to the ECB on the renegotiation of the promissory notes, according to a member of the bank.
The director general of the Secretariat and Languages Services in the ECB, Pierre van der Haegen, said: "Having duly looked into this matter, we would like to inform you that the ECB did not receive any documents from the Irish Government on the renegotiation of the terms of the promissory notes."

Negotiation seems to be a dirty word to both this government and the last shower of gimps. Remember the whole "there is no way we can retain a european commissioner in any circumstances" bullshít. Turns out they hadn't asked the question there either, i'm sure if you looked into every bad deal we've done, probably 90% of the time was just because nobody bothered asking for better. Like giving away our natural resources, does anybody really believe nobody in the entire world was willing to pay? Fúcking corrupt charlatans the lot of them.

Negotiations are going on with multiple groups, and the Irish government is trying to develop a strong case they can present to the ECB. We need to get people like the IMF and EU institutions on our side before marching off to the ECB.

Let our diplomats get on with the negotiating and stop your old moaning.

Each day, just when we think we have a handle on things, suddenly some new element is introduced and everything is complicated once again.
