Bank holiday specials on TVs??

Hey, anyone know if there will be any good sales coming up in any of the electrical stores this weekend? ie harvey normans,powercity,did,etc?
Looking for a 37 - 42 inch tv about the 500 mark...:o

that is the normal starting price for that size tv these days.

powercity have lots of choice for less than 500 all the time, not just in sales.

they have a 37 inch for 380

Go in and haggle like fcuk with Harvey Norman and you will get a good deal.

I went and bought a Microwave Oven from them the other day.

I tried to haggle in DID for the same Microwave and the DID chap told me that he couldnt do the microwave any cheaper than the list price of 99 euro.

"We only make a fiver profit on those mircowaves and you wont get any cheaper than that"......was the reply from the DID chap

So I went into Harvey Normans 5 shops down from DID and asked the sales chap in there,what his best price was (list price also 99 euro).
He said 89 euro,I asked again for a better price,he said 84 euro and no lower than that.

So for the sake of walking out of DID and walking 5 shops down the road and asking for a "best price" I saved myself 15 euro.


DID need to start listening to their customers more and not keep on fobbing them off.
