Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A MANHUNT is underway in County Limerick for a gang of suspected burglars who failed to stop at a garda checkpoint earlier today.

After failing to stop at Rourke’s Cross, the car was pursued at high speed in the direction of Newcastle West. The vehicle was abandoned between Broadford and Ashford and the occupants are believed to be on foot somewhere in the locality.

Gardai from Newcastle West, Abbeyfeale and North Cork are involved in the search operation. The garda helicopter and sniffer dogs have also been deployed along with members of the regional response unit.

One man has been arrested and gardai say they are searching for at least three others.

Watch out if your in these areas - This is from Tuesday, maybe they have been caught?

Do you think they these should get a longer jail sentence for the cost and hassle of capturing them?

I think along with their sentence, they should be fined the amount it took to capture them. If they don't have the money, they can work it off by doing work in the community (litter picking etc). The community work should be done after their sentence and none of this concurrent sentencing crap.

Wouldn't be be more challenging for them. If the get caught there is a higher penalty. Austerity measures would kick in. They'd only be able to rob places within running distance
    :D
