Haikyo (廃墟) in Japan

    Has anyone here been to any Haikyo sights on their travels?

    In case you don't know what the term is, it's exploring abandoned places. The hobby exists outside Japan and is usually called Urbex. However compared with exploring dilapidated buildings in the UK or Ireland, the experience is much more surreal in Japan as hotels, spa resorts or theme parks were built in the mountains and nature has taken them back. A lot of the time the businesses went bust in the late 90s, and just left.

    Examples:
    I'd be intrigued if anyone has done this in Japan and can share their tales... I think I've found a new interest.
