Hi all,Mrs W and I and two friends are going to the match on Saturday evening in your fair city :) can anyone give us a recommendation for an after match pub for a bit of craic?. Last time Mrs and I were on our own (no tickets) we had a good night in Foley's but is there another one or two we should be aware of? we are staying in the Strand on the Ennis Road but dont want to stray too far! Thanks in advanceW.

Bowles would be a good first stop, can be packed though - esp. when you open the door and it seems so, try to get out to the open area (by the river) at the back.

Then head for the Curragour Bar along the riverside, you'll prob. catch the Festival fireworks display from the Castle around that time too!

Head over Sarsfield Bridge......Shannon Rowing Club on the bridge have a good apres-match in a nice atmosphere. Then into town....2 rugby bars (as in real ones :) ) Myles Breens and Flannery's on Shannon St., either or both.

Tom Collins' or another Flannerys on Catherine St are worth a stop but if you're heading for some nitelife then go via Thomas St : Martins & Bourkes', then get directions to Denmark St. area where there are plenty of good lively pubs like O'Connells, Nancys and more.

Have a great weekend and welcome to Limerick.
