Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Clearly the key to frequent goals at Wembley is to have a dodgy ponytail.

    Great finish

Again I ask, why didn't Carroll start this game?

Him getting the feet sorted was funny :)

    Lifeline out of nowhere

Fairplay to Carroll, a well taken goal.

Gonna be lots of talk about Kenny this and Kenny that, but surely it's up to the players now.
    .

Would anyone like to take a wild stab at the excuses he will come up with this time. Liverpool are awful. Crossing is non-existent. Gerard is taking very odd attacking options, knocking the ball so far ahead that Bolt would'nt catch keep up. All the simple passing is very poor.

Took it well, thought he had overdid it.

    Hopefully that improves the game.

Right, just keep giving him the ball and let him do it on his own. :)

Terrible defending by Terry there. He should have kneed him.

    There's only 2 Andy Carrolls.

Best player for Liverpool already. Should have started.

Waddle never fails to deliver. "great feet for a big man" :D

He genuinely looked like a show horse when he did that little jump over. Cracking finish.

He did that stepover jump bit of skill like a big ostrich.

Good goal fair play to him.

This is the strangest FA Cup final ever. There's already been 3 goals and still 25 minutes remaining. Yet, it still slightly feels like a damp squib.

    Fair play Andy Carroll

tbh i'd agree but until Chelsea scored their first Liverpool fans seemed happy with the side put out. Andy is really putting himself about now though and bringing others into the game too and more importantly into the game in the attacking third

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,606 ✭✭✭Damien360

Carroll did very well keeping hold of it and controlling. Route one all the way. Barca never tried that.

Is that an assist for Downing? :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Andy Carroll is single-handedly turning this match around.

that was a really great goal from Carroll tbh. Made the mistake of not hitting it first, didn't panic, showed composure and buried it.

There has been several false dawns for him but maybe, just maybe he is starting to come good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,376 ✭✭✭Anyone

Get as much ball to Carroll as possible, he will be buzzing after that goal and will win everything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,399 ✭✭✭ush

    The Carroll Final?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,243 ✭✭✭✭Jesus Wept

Finally ffs, at least we are going down with a ****ing fight.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,085 ✭✭✭markc1184

Thought for a second Suarez was going to nick it off Carrolls toe after him doing all the hard work. Nice finish, and Downing I think it was done well to not give up on it.

Carroll has really made a huge difference to us. Great to see, and he actually wants the ball and to do something with it instead of pass it sideways and back all of the time.

    Suarez has been brutal

If 2006 was the Gerrard Final, could 2012 be the Carroll Final??? :D:D:D

It's rare to see one of those goals come off when you don't get the shot off first time. He ****ing buried it though. What a lad.

Andy Townsend just said it as well on ITV. I'd love to know why they keep saying it. Zidane was about 6'2 and 14 stone.

Was it Bosingwa brutal for the goal?

Great finish by Carroll tbf l
