Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Swear word following an aborted sneeze?

    I had a brutal cold last week. One of those that brings with it a horrible itchy inner nose and a torrent of sneezes.

    Anyway, I had a few sneezes (a lot actually) that came close but aborted short of full blown ecstasy. Started to notice every aborted sneeze was instinctively followed with "....ya bastad!"....That's not a typo, there was no "r" in it. Every sneeze after that was the same. It was like a I had no control over the swear.

    Anyone else get this?

    I do this too.

    i also have to gently cough about four times before I sneeze,

    Goes like this

    *eh* *eh* *eh* *eh* "AhCHOO-PISS SON OF A BITCH OW!!!!"

    Sometimes the coughing is replaced by swearing.

    I am an utter delight to be around

    I find keeping my eyes open during the sneeze prevents any cursing.

    Symptom of age.
    Soon you'll notice when you cough up phlegm that you'll spit it on the street and grumble incoherently.....chhurrr bleedin mmmr government....bertie hocccck

    when you pick small stuff up you'll make a kind of grunting noise.

    shortly after this you will start wearing tweed and have a cap.

    Not to mention making that "Raaaaa" sound when getting up off the couch or lifting something heavy.
