Hitch-hiking out of Ireland

I've entered a hitch hiking competition. The aim is to get as far away from the Spire in Dublin as possible within 24 hours. I can offer favours in return for lift like help a trucker unload or something.. no money can change hands. I was wondering if anybody knows a good way to get onto a ferry for free. Or even a private airport (commercial airflight is banned). I'd like to go to France or England. Any ideas on how I could get out of Ireland?

Where are the details about this competition?
You'd essentially need to illegally board a ferry or someone would have had to have paid for your passage on the ferry as far as I know........
Head for the furthest Irish mainland point from the spire.

Its not an official competition so no details per se. it's just me and a bunch of friends. I've heard of people getting to belgium so i know it can be done.
I have bigger ambitions than the furthest point on the mainland! I have faith in boards to provide some creative ways off the island. Cute hoors and 'divils' might be able to help. No idea is too outlandish or stupid.

This my boy is the only advice you need , you've got to give the driver a little incentive....., why do you think they pick hitch hikers up

Does it have to be on a specific day or can you choose the date?

Well if no idea is too outlandish, hollywood movies have taught us that international truckers will accept many forms of payment ;)

Head to a light air field and see if anybody is heading that way soon? Although I imagine they would at least want some money for it. Unless you know someone who is a light aircraft pilot then I imagine you're going to have no luck though. Realistically you're not going to get out of the country without paying for something like ferry price.
