    Hi Guys,
Siobhan here one of the race organisers.
Its a hard race to train for to be honest. There is a 5 km run to start with on forrest track and then pretty much the rest is off road, through bogs & forest. The final run is then a 1km run back up to the finish. Most people find this hard as they have just jumped into the Atlantic and are carrying sods of turf.
The best advice would be get training on rough uneven ground. Maybe jump in the sea and then do a 5km run on the beach, as you will be getting wet from the start with Turf Guy.

Not sure if that helps alot!
    Siobhan

thanks siobhan. from the 2011 video it would appear the ability to just jump into/crawl through/wade past anything that's put in your path is as important as the fitness.

hmmm, still think i'd like to do it, need to see how it fits with study schedule though
