Are final year repeat exams capped at 40%?

    Some people say they are, others say you get a second chance because its final year and counts towards the overall degree. Dit exams office don't even seem to know...

    yes, capped at 40% unless you have a p.c. form

    You can repeat a module once and you will be capped at 40% in that module regardless of what you actually achieve in the exam.

    If you repeat a module more than once, then your entire degree award will be capped at 40% i.e. you will just get a "Pass" award, you won't be eligible for an Honours award.

    If you have a PC-1 form with a valid reason then you can be exempted from the capped repeat policy.
