As Morgan's nephew, we have been told that he felt no pain from when he hit the road right up to his untimely death this morning, big thanks to the staff at the ICU in Connolly Hospital for looking after him.

My condolences to his family, friends and girlfriend, I could not imagine what any of them are feeling. I bumped into him at one of the races, I didn't realise it was him until I seen the picture today, I did not know him at all, I only talked to him once, briefly, he was a nice guy and I imagine the world is a worse place for his loss.

I was shocked to hear this news. I knew Morgan when he was racing under age in Kildare and Newbridge cycling club. He was a great guy and I have a lot of great memories of those days. I remember Morgan and Mark Noblett as a pair of jokers on the many weekend trips away cycling. I hadn't seen Morgan in years, but I recall his great sense of humour and camaraderie. The Kildare and Newbridge cyclists had many good laughs along the way. I recall the Whelans, Peter Tompkins, Cormac Rodgers, Ray Snowdon, Brian Hassett from Kildare. Then the newbridge crew that Morgan led - the Nobletts, the McCormacks, Damien Cahill, Paul Tehan amongst others.

He was also a modest guy despite winning senior county medal while still a junior. May he rest in peace..

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and girlfriend at this time. RIP
