Opitcal connection to Composite

Got a large screen monitor from a relations pub, bought a Saorview box so i could watch tv on it. Using the HDMI cable the vision is perfect, however the monitor has no sound. I have a surround system that takes the composite cables ( red and white ). Is there anyway to connect the optical out to this system ( has woofer ).

They're available alright but not sure where in Ireland you would get one. Ebay has a couple of UK sellers so that's probably the best option.
