Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

"Two dead dolphins 'forgot to breathe after taking heroin substitute following zoo's weekend-long rave' "

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2140362/Connyland-zoo-Two-dead-dolphins-killed-heroin-substitute.html

I'm not sure if it was an accident, or if they did it on porpoise

Two dolphins who died a slow, agonising death at a zoo after it hosted a rave were probably killed by a party-goer's heroin substitute, according to a leaked toxicology report.
The dolphins, called Shadow and Chelmers, died within five days of each other at a zoo in Switzerland last November.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,258 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

I wouldn't be too quick to just believe this was an accident!

Maybe they took that stuff on porpoise!

Edit: Damn, beaten to it! ^^^

What a tail, although, I prefer the European endings.

Now, off to sleep, listening to the soothing tunas of Billy Ocean.

I was just researching the Dolphin because of this thread and I've learn't that they and the Orca (Killer Whale) are supposedly the closed to humans in the Mammal intelligence stakes. These beautiful animals comprehend and speak their own language, they don't deserve to die by overdosing on a human drug that they don't understand.

They say that dolphins are extremely intelligent and will defend us in the event of a shark attack, believing us to be dolphins.

That doesn't sound too fúckin' intelligent at all.

What the article doesn't explain is that those dolphins was welfare scroungers and living it up in that zoo on the taxpayers dime.

    CCTV stil of said dolphins

Pretty cruel to have dolphins locked up in landlocked Switzerland, in a swimming pool, surrounded by drugged up idiots!

I heard of a house party where a cat was going crazy for some reason. The owner spent ages trying to calm it down. Woke up the next day and found the cat as stiff as a poker. Some idiot had given it an E tab. Bastard.

May the dolphins rest in peace btw.

Not that surprising. Cats love a bit of meow meow.

Apart from the fact that animals should not be kept in zoos, what tosser gave permission for a rave to be held there and didn't secure the safety of the resident creatures. FFS! People under the influence of alcohol and drugs are complete ****heads and don't know which end is up anyhow. You only have to drive up John's Street in Kilkenny any weekend night to know that.

    Eh?

They live in the sea, have fishy tails and fins, and they smell like fish too

If it walks like a fish, talks like a fish and quacks like a fish then it is a fish.
