Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There will be an old steam train travelling from Dublin to Athenry on Sat 12th May, it will then take the Western corridor through Craughwell, Labane, Kiltartan,Gort to Ennis, first time since 1994 that a steam engine will have travelled that section of line.

Good news. Any idea what time it will be in Athenry?

IT probably runs as fast as a modern train too, Irish rail is shockingly embarrassing compared to the rest of Europe.

A colleague at work rang the Athenry station today and it was the first they'd heard of it!
Its scheduled to leave Connolly at 9.40 tomorrow morning with a water stop in Athlone. Probably best to check the irishrail site for updates of rail traffic
    Click for station updates

Its due in Athenry at 2.20 pm and will be there for about an hour taking on water
