Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    All on a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 L

Really nice detail picked up in the feathers and eyes and then the great bokeh.
Favorites would be number 4 and number 1

    Very nice.
I like the last owl one best as the focal point is on the eye as opposed to the beak.

i like the last one best i think cause of the angle it's taken from. it doesn't feel yer looking across at the bird, it feels like yer looking down on it so it kinda more intimate [ooh matron]. i like number 2 too, but maybe a bit more of the right hand side cropped off. lovely detail in them all. they're amazing animals aren't they? i've been to 'eagles flying' in sligo a few times - could sit and pet them and stare at them all day.

1 and 4 are stunning IMO. Really nicely captured. Whereabouts was this if you don't mind my asking?

Very nice, I love the Harris Hawk and the great grey owl in particular, that's a really good shot, because it's an unusual angle.
For the first two, make sure you focus on the eye of the animal, not the beak :) Lovely looking falcon, still!

This was at a medieval day in a restored castle near Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic.

    Amazing images.

Pity that I can't quite afford such a camera, so I can't try to copy you...

Cheers. Don't be letting anything like that put you off. Besides, these were more the lens than the camera :). But sure whatever lens/cam you have, get out and just take some shots and enjoy it.

Incredible. They're all great, but #4 is the standout for me. I just love the composition. And it's so sharp I'd be reticent about touching it :)

3 & 4 are best in my view, 1 & 2 the focus is on the beak and the eyes are therefore soft.
