Replacing Pull Cord Switch - String

This is a fairly old type switch.

Would I be able to get a replacement cord and is fitting it fairly straight forward.

I'm guessing its not just a new cord but that the switch/rocker thingy that the cord operates come with a new cord.

that looks like the whole unit is replaced. Can the cord itself not be replaced as the switch is working perfectly.

As far i can remember from fitting that style shower pull chord you have to replace the whole unit as apposed to being able to just replace the string.

just replace the string
you get a little adaptor with it that you can join old string to new string
failing that use plastic end on your old string to hide a knot :D:D:D:D:D

yup but I just thought that the whole string from the inside could be replaced.
