Bolton for me. I can see QPR losing to City and Bolton only managing a draw with Stoke.

Probably the same team we'd suggest in the other thread!!

Pity it's not half as interesting as last season. Bolton go to Stoke knowing a win will keep them up realistically. I think they'll do it...

QPR. Bolton seem to like playing Stoke recently.

If Bolton do the deeds I reckon that video of QPR fans celebrating like mad yokes on Saturday will be played for a long time to come! It's a cup final for Bolton, win or bust

QPR. Bolton coming up with the goods to keep in the league.

    Are Villa not safe ?

They can still go down but their goal difference is too good so they're 99% guaranteed Premier League football next season.

    Villa in the poll?

If QPR draw & Bolton win by 10 goals, Villa need to lose by at least 8 goals to be relegated - not a fcuking hope of that happening

A point makes QPR safe, that's huge for both ends of the table

Last season. This season Bolton beat Stoke 5-0.

Bolton. Solely based on my biases against Bolton.

Bolton for me. I can't see them beating Stoke.

I seemed to have remembered a made up game where Bolton beat stoke in the cup this season too.

Said in the United thread, it's the only positive thing that came from the weekend.

If QPR needed a win to stay up, I'm 100% sure that City would have beat them. But only needing a point to guarantee safety, Hughes will undoubtedly park the bus and make it as difficult as possible for City.

I'm still 90% sure City will win, but 11 men behind the ball working their bollocks off and maybe nick a goal on a set piece or a counter, they might be able to get a 1-1 or something. Or if they limit the score to 1-0 City until the last 5 mins and then go for it, anything can happen.

Wishful thinking maybe but stranger things have happened.

I want Bolton to stay up. Cant call it though.

I voted Villa anyways. McLeish can become the most hated man in Birmingham by a clear distance if he pulls it off!

Stoke have been on holiday for weeks, Bolton will beat them.

I honestly don't know. I was meant to go to the Bolton game, as I had a feeling it was going to come down to the last game , but couldn't go. I'm really hoping for a QPR loss and Bolton win. The OH is a UTD fan do she wants a QPR win/draw, so I may be single by the this time next week :D

    QPR will go.

Stoke look like they are thinking about their holidays already. I can see Bolton winning there, much like Wigan did last year.

City will probably put 4 past QPR I imagine. It would be unthinkable for them to get a point there in the circumstances.

QPR fan here so ultra pessimistic and I can see Bolton nicking a win at Stoke.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭Stevecw

Love to see Bolton stay up, and QPR just because they have Joey Barton go down.

Can see Bolton scoring on Sunday but that defence and keeper are weak and prob will lose or might draw at very best. Hope i'm wrong, and Ngog bangs in a hattrick to kickstart Joeys twitter on Sunday evening! :)

Well QPR look doomed at City so the question is can Bolton win at Stoke. Stoke are in woeful form and Bolton are playing ok now that their lives depend on it. I fancy Bolton to beat Stoke so bye bye QPR. They deserve it as do Wolves for sacking their managers when they were going relatively ok considering.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,656 ✭✭✭cgpg5

I'll go out there and say that QPR are the team that I have most disliked in the premiership as long as I can remember. C'mon the Trotters!

Can often be better on the last day knowing you have to go out and win altogether than knowing you've to draw. In the latter case you sometimes don't know whether to attack or sit back at times!

QPR - they've had relegation written all over them for most of the season now.

Teams like Bolton, Wigan, etc have a fantastic ability to pull things out of the fire and stay up, as shown by Wigan doing so well against the likes of Man Utd.

Experience is vital in these relegation dogfights and knowing what is needed to stay up.

I wonder will Southampton have their famous dogged spirit in relegation battles when they come up.

Think they'll be in or around the top ten tbh, will sign one or two decent players and have an exciting side. Dominated the championship this season for the most part. Think survivor on sat needs to make huge chances or they'll drop next year with Swansea imo

My main concern is our inability to hold onto a lead (West Brom). If Bogdan plays well and the Bolton players keep concentration up, we should be ok. If we do stay up, I'd lI've us to sign a goal poacher, because we don't really have anyone who will hold it in around the 6 yard box.

    Shame about Bolton

Ya can't beat West Brom at home after being 2-0 up ya deserve to go down imo. They messed up big time. Even today's game was incredibly winnable. Says it all that what 36 points was cut off? Collectively 3 worst teams to get releagted for as long as I can remember
