Electric Ireland deposit and first name

    Hello everyone :)
    I come to Ireland for only 6 months, I rent a house and now I should pay 300eur deposit to Electric Ireland, but deposit will be returned to me after 14 months. What I should do?
    And how can I change my first name in my account, because there is mistake? Please help if you have some information.

    Hi Helen,

    If you set up a direct debit to pay your Electric Ireland bill, you will not need to pay any deposit. If you do pay the deposit though, you will get it returned to you when you close your account - you will not have to wait 14 months. :)

    I can correct the name on the account for you now if you just send me a private message with your Electric Ireland account number, the name as it appears now on the bill, and the address/telephone number/date of birth on the account.
    And of course if you could also send me the name you would like it changed to. :)

    Maybe You can send my a letter, that I have account in Electric Ireland, because I want sign up for direct debit and I need bank account. This letter will be as proof of my adress :)
