Super Glue to Fix Fridge Door Fitment

Can anybody advise on whether some form of Super Glue would work to re-attach a door shelf inside a fridge door which has fallen away due to deterioration of the original plastic notch on which the door shelf hung.

Is there some perverse issue about Super Glue not actually working to stick certain plastics together?

Any advice appreciated.

Super Glue is really only good at sticking your fingers together.

If you want to stick plastics use two pack apoxy resin, comes in two tubes side by side that you mix on a piece of cardboard. It will definitely stick plastic. If the notch has warn away, i would roughen up the material and bond on another piece of plastic to form the notch.

You'll pick up 2 pack apoxy resin in any motor factors, very handy to have around.

Araldite - as Dilbert says, it comes in two tubes - a resin and a hardener.

Araldite is a good one but be careful as you will need to empty and turn off the fridge.
