Good bars in Sydney

    Right folks, so me and the missus are in Sydney for the next three days. Not much time to see it all and with her wanting to take pictures of every poxy building and landmark I'll need somewhere to get a pint.

    Anyone got a good recommendation for in and around the CBD or harbour? Preferably some where that does decent cocktails, good selection of beer..maybe live music.

    The Lowenbrau keller in "the rocks" area of the harbour is a great spot for authentic German imported beer and food and music. Amazing steins of all kinds of master brewed stuff like honey beer for example. Not cheap but worth it for the experience.

    Just underneath the opera house is the opera house bar.. its an outside bar so good for the photos of the bridge and the opera house and harbour.. really good atmosphere during the day.. never been at night.. jealous now!!

    I bought Bars In Sydney ages ago. I really should develop it. Depends what part of the harbour you will be at. There are heaps around Darling Harbour including Star casino. If you're in Melbourne check out http://www.barsinmelbourne.com :D
