Insulation Stoneybatter

Does anyone know if the front wall of the terraced yellow brick houses in Stoneybatter are cavity walls?

I'm looking to insulate the house. If they are cavity walls I'll be able to get them pumped. Otherwise I'll have to line them.

i know Stoneybatter very well but its still hard to know if your house has cavity walls but I'm nearly sure its not ,but anyway your better going for dry lining here is a link hope this helps

are your sure about that? especailly using a none breathable PIR insulation, in a home where you claim there is no cavity? where is the due point going to form? OP i would suggest you consider a breathable insulation, Vapour control layer and suitable plasterboard painted finish. see below study for the science

sorry for geting anal about this but some people are in to it ,
Kingspan Kooltherm® K18 Insulated Plasterboard contains an integral vapour control layer and, when installed correctly, with appropriate detailing at joints between sheets, penetrations and wall perimeters, can provide the necessary vapour resistance. If required, the vapour resistance of the wall lining can be increased by the application of two coats of Gyproc Drywall Sealer.

A condensation risk analysis should be carried out following the procedures set out in BS 5250: 2002 (Code of practice for the control of condensation in buildings). The Kingspan Insulation Technical Service Department can provide this service. here is there number

and do you honestly expect a decent hydrothermal assessment from the company selling you their product? I'm not convinced

As far as I know they are not cavity, the ones I came across in that area were not, it was very easy to pop a brick out at the front of the house when working on the inside.
