It's up to you I think. You can only play on a server if the OA versions match. Most of the servers out there are using the last 3 beta versions. If you want to play on certain servers like the Boards one then just make sure you have that version installed.

93666 is the one he is referring too.

Retrying To Authenticate FIX

This worked for me but you wont be able to play on Steam with this method. (Well I havent tried so its open for debate)

Follow those instructions on that site.. The actual version has since been updated but the newest one is still in the same location, top of the page in the green area. Get it.

How do you actually get into a game ? Every server i try starts downloading a file files then i get a screen showing some tanks then it pops back to server select screen.

Server updated to 93701 and required build turned on.


You have to have 93701 running to join, side chat turned off.

Will monitor the server.

Ah thanks got it to work even though this time i started without any gun I soon found one. Tested it it worked...walked back outside the house got eaten by 7 zombies.

Servers got fair few on it, i was on it to test earlier seemed fine.

Sure you have beta running?

93701 should be in the main menu down the bottom right

It does but its in red, i tried a few UK servers and can connect. @dayz is running on the right hand side when i load up.

Cant seem to launch beta patch from steam, and the shortcut in the OA directory doesn't seem to launch the DayZ version of OA.

Anyone help?

You dont have the beta installed or setup, look on the right hand side where it sayd required build if its red you dont have it.

Just turned off my beta and got the same thing you see.

WTF , updated the game. But now when my friend and I play, all voice chat programs stop working when I'm tabbed into the game but work when I alt tab back out we can hear each other again

Thanks for that, new problem is - whenever I try and join a server I get an error saying "you cannot play/edit this mission dayz"

Searching everywhere but all the stuff it's asking to do I've already done.

Downlaoded the beta and installed again red x. Im running six launcher and updating from your server will let you know if it works.
