Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can say that again. Easily the worst I've seen ucd play all season. First time this season we've failed to score at home and it was against 10 men for 75 minutes. I think the sending off was probably the worst thing that could've happened to us as ye just sat back and we couldn't get through. Had it been 11 v 11 there probably would've been more room to pass through. As far as I can remember, I don't think we had a decent chance against the 10 men bar a few long range efforts.
Tough few weeks now with Cork away next week and Sligo at home the following week.

To be fair, Cronin absolutely bossed your lads off the park. With 11 men we would have been even more threatening and Cronin still would have been there to destroy.

Atm only 2 missed penos have us being top and tbh noone i have seen so far has come close to being better than our 1st 11.

Cough cough...........starting to sound like shams now......forgetting being outplayed on your own pitch? :D

Im not sure if you get your own irony... Each match thread Rovers fans have been saying we're awful while you've been saying Pats are amazing and the best team by far in the league.

Pats are like us this time last year. Playing great football but they aren't finishing teams off. They'll probably regret the start come November.

Why is it only Sham fans who take issue with this?? Just hand the money over and jog on!!!!!!

Just on our sending off, it was a definite red, complete idiocy from Byrne.

    Cronin was fantastic though.

The Rovers' pinkish/orange 'keeper jersey kinda clashes with the outfield players red jerseys.

Twigg should have done better there.

3 Sligo sendings off please. Peers, Quigley and maybe North please.

    Horrible effort.

Very open game. North should have at least got his shot on target.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,508 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Crinklewood

    Rovers one up.

    Woeful positioning from the 'keeper.

    North 29.

    Shocking keeping.

    Terrible positioning from the keeper

Not watching the game, but why is Jannson not starting? Thought he was first choice keeper?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Story of our season so far to be honest. Majority of our goals conceeded have been easy enough.

Brennan did terrible though, such a lazy challenge.

    Yes two different sentences.

"Screamer" referred to the goal. The dodgy part referred to the 'keepers general performance ( ie punch ).

If I had meant the dodgy bit to refer to the goal I would have used one line with a comma.

Drogs got a free kick when their keeper slipped kicking the ball out without a Bohs player within 10 yards of him, was bizarre even by LOI standards.

    Happy with the point.

    That *was* bizarre.

Yeah, I'd have taken a draw before KO, so I wasn't too disappointed. Fair enough result.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,954 ✭✭✭✭Zebra3

    Deserved sending off.

Shameful overreaction from the Sligo player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,142 ✭✭✭Ebbs

What was the difference between the two? Why wasnt McGuiness sent off too?

Ref Didnt blow there for Ricer until the Sligo bench were half way across the pitch.. Looks like Cooks been replaced well

Should be a lengthy ban for Turner.

Keane was a bit over the top with the fall.

    Who was the Sligo player?

    Jaysis sake.

Not leaving the pitch when shown the red, continuing to cause hassle after the red. We'll have to see what the FAI do.

Well he was on the opening day of the season when he tried to con the ref into sending off Philly Hughes.

The ref saw Hughes never got within five yards of him despite Keane going down clutching his face and booked him.
