Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Alan Keane is definitely the most dislikeable of the Sligo bunch. Shouldn't be allowed have an internet connection.

He wont be sacked this season, 100% of that.

I understand that only 5 of our team are there from last season, with at one stage none of the back 5 here last season...but Kenny just doesnt seem to organise or motivate them at all.

Surprised with all the commentrys teams praise of Sligo, thought it was more about Rovers being shocking across the back 5. 2 of the goals were just bad GoalKeeping.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,954 ✭✭✭✭Zebra3

Richardson really does talk some shyte. :D

I wouldn't imagine he'll be sacked either. Just wondering how long until people start to question his position.

He's putting himself forward for the Rovers job.

About a month ago... There were a lot of... people "muttering" it at the AGM too.

Kenny on a three year contract, yeah?

Sligo much the better team and deserved win.

Having seen the sending off again, it's either both are sent off or none go. It can't be fair that the player who pushes back is the only one who get's sent off. Keane's overreaction was the only reason Turner went. If Keane stayed up it would have more than likely been a talking to and booking for both players.

Nope, you raise your hands like that at another player and you walk regardless of their reaction. The ref was totally correct to send Turner off though I'd gladly see players getting booked for overracting. After all what Keane done was basically a dive.

But Keane pushed Turner too?, the only thing was that it was first.

I dont understand this opinion. Do you not think Keane should have been sent off for raising his hands? It seems its ok to raise two hands and push but not ok to raise one and push.

Drogs dominated the second half in Dalymount but just couldnt create any clear cut chances . Bohs seem well organised but the constant hoofing up to Dinny was never going to create alot tbh . Our brennans where poor and when they are poor we dont win  ! Our game in tallaght is a big one next wk , level on points with Rovers going into it , 2 sendings off for them today helps us even more . Bring it on ....

So surprised at our result last night and our performance. Hopefully keep it going into next Friday and try get something in Sligo.

Delighted with another win for Bray now, 3 on the trot. Will be a tough one next week.

Disagree. Thought Bohs had the better of it for a good 15 minutes or so in the earlier part of the second half.
Draw was a fair result overall.

Was at the Showgrounds today, some game. The sending off was a definite red card but Keane was a disgrace. He did the same to Killian Brennan a couple of seasons ago with Brennan getting a red for nothing.

Keeper for Rovers was atrocious, beaten at the near post for the last. I expect a large fine for Rovers by their fans actions towards Keane, one can actually hit him as he was going to take a throw as well as the squirting of "liquid" at stewards as they tried to protect Keane at each throw.

Worrying for Kenny, players didnt even look too bothered.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,252 ✭✭✭✭stovelid

Worrying stuff. Kenny's position is becoming dodgy. Don't remember seeing so much dossing in rovers shirts for a long time. Shameful.

No complaints about the result but the red cards were soft. Well, turner raised his hand but so did the other player initially. It's especially sad to see one pro going down holding their face to get another pro sent off in this league, especially when we were well beaten at two goals down.

The league is surely beyond us now.

Just 66 points to play for. Scored the most goals.

You just need to tighten up at the back.

    Sligo were far better side.

They will take lot of stopping now.

Great performance, that South African keeper is HORRIBLE! How can ''Ireland's Number 1'' not get a decent keeper? I didn't like the playacting from Keano, but Turner should not have put his hands on him and give him the chance to go down.

Best part of the game was injury time when we passed it around for 2 minutes. Glorious. I counted two bottles thrown on the pitch, also flicking the contents of the bottle at stewards? Really Shams? Those few fans should f**k off away from the league.

Oh, and what colour tickets did the away fans end up getting? :)

He did in it tallaght last season too.

Danny North top scorer is looking easy money now :(

Keane shoved Turner in the chest first. When Turner did it back, Keane went down holding his face. Should have been two reds.

Wasn't even needed as we were well beaten.

Yeah, that backpass from inside Shamrock's half to your own keeper.

Even your own manager was annoyed and wanted another goal at the end.

Derry 1-0 up in the SSC Final

3-0 up, game is over. Think I would rather pass it around for ole's and make the shams run around after us instead of attempting to get a 4th.

Derry fans doing the Poznan *cringe*

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

Did i just see that right. A Derry player was fouled, rolled along the ground, his shirt lifted up and you could see what looks like a tramp stamp on his back

Owen Morrison i think it was

That was a great penalty shootout, Crusaders deserved it in the end

    Crusaders win on penaltys.

Deserved over the course of the 120 mins.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

There are no league titles handed out in May *ahem*.

Some seriously high quality penatlies in that shoot-out there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,056 ✭✭✭applehunter

Sligo much the better earlier on. Jason McGuinness was great. Quigley very dangerous.

Shamrock Rovers so poor without Finn in the middle. McCabe & Kavanagh were lively but too many below performances apart from them.
