Communion day out - suggestions?

    Hi folks,

    My young fella is getting his communion (Sat 19th) and I'd like to book someplace nice for dinner. There's only going to be 6 people for the meal so its a small crowd. I was wondering if anybody has some suggestions of where might be nice to go.

    I was thinking maybe a hotel meal in a nice town not too far away, with a bit of walking/shopping/sightseeing for me and the kids afterwards. We are based in Newport, Tipperary and fancy driving for about an hour or so but if you think somewhere further is worth a visit let me know!
