I picked up a couple in a service station in france on my last trip but I'm sure I saw them in the new Service Stations on the M4.

If you happened to be passing ;)

If you only want a single converter THIS type of unit is much tidier, I saw them on a display stand at Buckley Caravans in Mallow.
I'm sure Donal would put one in the post if you ordered over the phone and gave him the number of your plastic.

If its for high current applications I'd be more inclined to change the cigarette plugs to din plugs its a much better connection.

Some connectors contain a voltage regulator I think.

Yeah chargers etc. would. I have a few things that draw 12-16 amps and the cigarette style plugs tend to get extremely hot.

Does anyone know if you can get the cig sockets like the hella ones in the camper so I could replace the socket. The one in mine is gray in colour and had a spring loaded cover. Would hope to get a similar one?

I think this would be the best option.

There are tons with a hinging plastic push on cover or push in plug for motorcyles and boats, the only sprung hinged one I've seen is this chinese one:

Yoou might find ones on dealextreme, buyincoins or one of the other plastic fantastic chinese sites.

I was looking for something like this one.

I hope this will replace the hella\din socket with a normal cig socket.

It's the socket over the fridge so not sure how I will get to it as I don't want to remove the fridge if possible.
