think the conversation had about this was about if they had already been picked they would be allowed even if withdrawn due to injury etc but no idea if you can pick them after they have withdrawn.

Think it was sensible soccer I remember Hagi best from but he was awesome.

wont be many be attacking units though. Great pick imo as I had been hoping he would slip through this rd of picks after missingout on Llorent and focussing elsewhere last rd. Xavi/Laudrup etc should def be able to creat him chances

Friend of mine currently living in Paris says he has been very bad. Big into his football and respect his opinion a lot. Admittedly I haven't seen him too much bar the odd highlight here and there. Le Championnat is one of the leagues I see less of.
He says the French journos are on his back big time, Phillipe Auclair being one of them, who says he has been pretty dismal this year.

My question with Pedro is very simple: take him out of the Barcelona set up and send him to, let's say Spurs, and how good would he look? I'd suggest he'd be average, and might not cut it somewhere like that long term. He fits that particular system perfectly but, for me, he wouldn't be a star anywhere else.

People will obviously disagree with this mind.

Well it's true that he's untested in another system (you could say the same for a lot of Barca players) but that's not overly relevant to me because the style of my team will be similar to that of Barca's. I already have Martinez and Kroos in midfield which are vital in that regard as both are outstanding in possession (especially Kroos) and are suited to a high pressing game.

But as it happens I think Pedro would be pretty good in more traditional systems as a centre forward. He's a good dribbler, makes plenty of intelligent runs, has a very good first touch and almost never loses possession, works very hard and probably his biggest asset is the fact that he's an accomplished finisher.

Here's a good clip of his goals over the last few seasons. He scores all types.

Pedro and Busquets are 2 of the most criminally under-rated players at Barca. Pedro is a very clever player, he makes excellent runs and his finishing is second to none, he has the work rate of Kuyt and his right foot is as strong as his left, he would start for any team in the world imo. Barca really missed him this season, he adds penetration and is perhaps the most suited player to the system. An excellent choice, I'm surprised he wasn't chosen earlier.

Just after having a look at everybody's picks so far.
Despite obviously being bias towards my own side, have to say, cannot separate most if not all the teams.
Fair enough some people have a very strong attack and decent midfield, but i think that their weaker defences will even that up in the end

And Pedro is ridic good value, superb player. Not been his best season but he has the class to bounce back.

I haven't decided for sure he'll be there. Depends what other players I can get before i decide for sure what system to play. He's two footed and he's played there before for Udinese.

His game has changed a lot over the years as he's aged(for the better imo), he's been solely used centrally this season and most of the last couple of years and given how clinical he's been in that role I think it would be a waste putting him wide, also at 34 he's even admitted himself that he doesn't have the legs anymore to play on the flanks as a wide forward.

Llorente and Di Natale front two will work but think you've limited from a formation pov.

Yep, can't play Di Natale out wide (not that anyone should ever want to use him like that). Not convinced about him linking play in an 'AMC' role either. He's just a beast of a goal poacher, and should be used as such.

still, some great pics of Terry there.

Surprised at the gap between Gerrard and Lampard in the picks. Lamps went at the start of rd2 while I just got Stevie G at the end of rd5!

There is one really really standout CB left imo, someone id rate far far higher than Mert even though I dont think Mert is too bad for a rd6 pick) but im struggling as to wether or not to take him with my next pick (assuming Andy Caroll doesent) as I think quality in another position might be harder to come by later especially with a low draw in the only special rd left.
