magnetic magazine holder

these were recommended to me by a friend for use with handgun magazines. i have to say i think they are a brilliant idea. is there anyone using these for pistol shooting? if so how do you find using them? where did you get them and how much were they?


i can only find these and not too happy with the price:eek:

I use 2 round magnets made to hold a mobile phone to the dashboard in the car. Got from a local Maxoil station @€;5 each.

Took out the magnets and glued them to a small rectangle of thin plywood. Glued velcro to the back to make up a strap to loop onto my belt. Maybe not as strong as the proper ones you have shown but does for me.

Just a thought, but would the magnets magnetise the magazines and make them harder to remove from the pistol. It could make the difference, in some pistols, between the magazine falling clear or having to be removed by hand.

i got them in hill top i think their between 25-30 each. their very strong and sometimes they are hard to pull the mags away from the magnet. but their a very good idea.
i used something like these ive 2 of them id sell for €30 if their any good to you.
