Hi there.. Sorry if there's already a thread on here relating to the above..
I'm looking to buy a "new" car.. just a cheap(ish) runaround and Declan Gill Motors seems to have a few cars in stock that I'd be interested in.. Good prices n good mileage.. Call me a sceptic but it all seems to be good to be true.. And usually if it seems that way... It usually is...

Anyway, was just wondering if anyone has had any dealing with them? Good, bad or indifferent...
Learned the hard way to check out places before spending my hard earned cash in them...

Thanks in advance for you help :)

If you don't know your cars the best money you'll spend is paying a mechanic to inspect the car your interested in. he may charge you 100euro to be away from his shop and may sting at the time but you'll be set straight straight whether car is straight or a crate. Spilt milk etc etc

I went there to look at some cars, and alot of them seemed to be a little rough around the edges.

Also, I noticed that some cars I was going to buy on DoneDeal disappeared and turned up on his lot a few days later at an inflated price. Nothing wrong with that of course

He is just shifting cars so just get the car checked out as you would do buying anywhere else.

Like any smaller/2nd hand car seller I would guess that the approach is to sell a car and agree to fix items later, rather than prepping a car for sale. It just depends on if you trust them to follow through.

Hi am thinking of going to them for a few cars - did you end up buying from them?

    I bought two cars there
One peach and one semi lemon
They are what they are, cheap cars at cheap prices. Bring a mechanic ;)

Hahahah thanks for the very honest response :)

Ok but still worth a look right? Cause my last car was a massive lemon.

Bought a motor off him 6 months ago and so far no problems.

He's a "yard" dealer so you're operating at the bottom end of the market. Which means anything you get is going to be chancy.

But I've had no bother so far with my yoke. Touch wood :)
